DONALD KEITH WEST JULY 30, 1966 – JULY 18, 2006 BENSON— Donald Keith West, 39, of 104 Trey Ave. died Tuesday. He was the President and CEO of West-Tek, Inc. of Smithfield, NC. Mr. West spent his entire life in law enforcement. After a stint in the Marines, he became a correctional officer working at Central Prison, after that it was patrolling the streets of Smithfield as a police officer. In 2001 he decided to strike out on his own and started West-Tek, Inc, which has grown from a company of one to more than 200 officers working in several states through-out the Southeast. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC. Surviving: daughter, Lily Marie West of the home, mother and step-father, Beth and James A. Hunter of Angier, father and step-mother, James Donald and Lynne West of St. Pauls, NC; sisters, Rhonda W. Mingin and her husband, Joe of Angier; Janet Tedder and her husband, Derrick of Wendell; brother, James David West of Raleigh; step-sisters, Audrey Foust of Hartford, WI; Heather Power of Greensboro; step-brothers, Jim Hunter of Ona, WV; Richard Hunter of St. Mary’s, GA, nieces, Taylor Tedder, Hannah Tedder, and nephew, Hunter Mingin.
